Principal Consultant

 Steve Penstein is the Principal and Co-Founder of Penstein Group LLC. He has more than 30 years experience in construction related activities. Steve Penstein is a licensed and active General Contractor. Mr. Penstein is also a licensed Framing Contractor, Finish Carpentry Contractor, Certified Master Window and Door Installer and a Certified Professional Inspector.
 

Mr. Penstein has worked as a construction foreman, senior estimator and senior project manager in addition to being a resident expert for a major window and door manufacturer.  He has extensive experience in the manufacturing of building materials as well as experience as a material supplier.
 

Mr. Penstein has been able to utilize this experience and expertise in performing building and construction site investigation, forensic testing, repair protocol, cost estimating, project management and expert witness testimony.
 

Mr. Penstein has testified in regards to the standard of care of general contractors, sub contractors, site supervisors, material suppliers, manufacturers as well as jobsite safety and accident responsibility. In addition, Mr. Penstein has testified in reference to contractual interpretation and responsibility, custom and practice of contractors and tradespeople, and the standard of care relating to scope of work performance
